Break Down Safe Concrete Remover is a professional, high-foaming cement remover designed to tackle heavy buildups of hardened concrete and cement without using hydrochloric or muriatic acid.
Formulated with glycolic acid, Break Down is designed to soften and remove hardened cement from ready-mix trucks, scaffolding, forms, tools, and other equipment or surfaces where cement tends to accumulate and harden.
Its glycolic acid is derived from natural sources and is biodegradable. The formula also contains corrosion inhibitors, is highly dilutable, and is designed to be non-corrosive and safe on painted surfaces.
Break Down works especially well as a foamed-on overnight soak for heavy cement buildup but can also be diluted and used as part of a daily equipment-washing program.

Dilution
For everyday cleaning, Break Down may be diluted up to 1:5.
For severe hardened cement buildup, adjust the concentration and application method based on the amount of buildup being removed.
Because Break Down is a super concentrate, the supplied manufacturer information notes that distributors may produce up to six drums of working solution depending on the intended final dilution.
Directions for Heavy Cement Buildup
For heavy buildup, apply Break Down at the end of the workday when the truck or equipment will remain idle.
Spray or foam Break Down directly onto areas where cement has hardened.
Allow the product to remain on the affected surface for a minimum of 60 minutes. Do not allow the treated area to dry. If it begins drying during the dwell period, reapply Break Down as necessary to keep the surface wet.
After approximately 60 minutes, the hardened cement should begin to soften. For heavy buildup, allow the product to remain on the surface overnight.
The following morning, apply another application of Break Down and keep the surface wet for at least 30 minutes.
The cement should develop a sand-filled, mushy consistency that can then be rinsed from the surface.
A garden hose equipped with a spray nozzle may be used, but the manufacturer recommends a high-pressure washer for removal.
Daily Cleaning
Break Down can also be used as a daily wash rather than solely as an overnight treatment.
For everyday cleaning applications, dilute Break Down up to 1 part product to 5 parts water and apply according to the level of cement buildup present.
Regular use can help address cement accumulation before it develops into heavier hardened deposits.
Safety Information
Break Down contains glycolic acid and is classified as hazardous. Appropriate PPE and professional chemical-handling procedures should be used during dilution, application, rinsing, storage, and transportation.
When using Break Down for extended dwell times, do not allow the treated surface to dry. Always review and follow the current product label and Safety Data Sheet before use.
