P40 Dominator Remote Flush Guide
How to plumb and wire the Dominator Remote Flush/Start/Stop kit on a P40 with a Cyclone 3-port proportioner. The kit replaces the yellow 3-way flush valve shown on the gas softwash plumbing diagram so you can flush the Cyclone SH valve from the remote. Shop the kit.
1. Plumbing with a Cyclone
Supplies flow from the tanks toward the pump. Use two dedicated water hoses and one bleach hose — never tee those feeds together. Soap to the Cyclone soap valve must pass through the bottom solenoid on the flush bracket.
Connection map — numbered hoses match the port photo below. Blue = water, yellow = SH/bleach, pink = soap.
Flush kit ports: 2 TeeJet Water (right), 3 TeeJet Chem (left), 4 Common to Cyclone SH, 5 soap solenoid.
Cyclone: ① into H2O valve, ⑤ into SOAP valve, ④ into SH valve, ⑥ mix out to the P40.
Hose connections
| # | Connection | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Water tank → Cyclone H2O valve | Dedicated 1" hose. Do not tee into the TeeJet water line. |
| 2 | Water tank → TeeJet RIGHT (Water) | Dedicated 1" flush-water hose to the water tank. Use a Uniseal — do not use a bulkhead. |
| 3 | SH / bleach tank → TeeJet LEFT (Chem) | Dedicated 1" hose. Use a Uniseal — do not use a bulkhead. |
| 4 | TeeJet COMMON (center) → Cyclone SH valve | 1" hose. This is the path the remote flushes. |
| 5 | Soap tank → bottom soap solenoid → Cyclone soap valve | 1/4" lines. Left side of the solenoid to the soap tank; right side to the Cyclone soap valve. |
| 6 | Cyclone mix outlet → P40 inlet | Same as the gas softwash plumbing diagram. Pump outlet / bypass unchanged. |
2. Kit port labels (no proportioner)
If you are not using a proportioner, only these labeled kit ports are confirmed:
- TeeJet LEFT (Chem) — to the chemical / SH tank
- TeeJet RIGHT (Water) — to the water tank
- TeeJet COMMON (center) — labeled “To SH Valve”
- Soap solenoid — labeled “To Soap” (1/4")
How the common and soap lines join a P40 with no proportioner is not covered in the Flush install steps — do not guess that routing from this guide.
3. Remote buttons
| Button | Function |
|---|---|
| 1 | Chemical / Flush toggle (TeeJet + soap solenoid). The system defaults to Flush / water. Press Button 1 to draw chemical; press it again to return to Flush — TeeJet back to water and soap supply shut off. If the remote fails or is lost, power-cycle the control box to return to water/Flush so you can rinse. |
| 2 | Start engine. Press once to start; press again once the engine has started. |
| 3 | Stop engine. Press once to shut down. Press once more to turn off the kill feature so you can start again. |
4. Engine wiring (GX160 / GX200 / GX390 / CRX)
Disconnect the battery before installation. Mount the receiver base upright in a secure location protected from direct spray and excessive heat.
| Wire | Connection |
|---|---|
| Red or Orange | Battery positive (+) terminal or the positive side of the starter solenoid (power) |
| Black | Engine block ground (we typically use the Phillips screw on the top left of the starter solenoid; recommended: the bolt holding the starter to the block) |
| White | Same ground circuit as the black wire |
| Green | Disconnect the bullet connector on the black wire with white stripe, then connect the green wire’s bullet connectors into each side (start) |
| Yellow | Disconnect the yellow wire bullet connector coming from the engine block; the yellow wire from the remote plugs into it (stop / kill) |
Quick reference: Red = power · Black = ground · Green = start · Yellow = stop.

5. Safety & care
- Verify all connections before reconnecting power.
- Use proper wire management to prevent chafing or heat damage.
- Do not mount components near exhaust or high-heat engine parts.
- This system is not designed for direct pressure washing or full submersion.
- Inspect wiring periodically; keep the receiver clean and dry; replace the remote battery as needed.
- Pairing is not required — the remote ships pre-paired unless we instruct otherwise.
6. Quick troubleshooting
- Engine will not start: Battery at least 12.0V; check the green and yellow connections; confirm a solid ground.
- Starter cranks about one second: Kill circuit still active — press 3, then 2.
- Engine will not stop: Recheck the yellow stop/kill connection at the engine’s yellow bullet connector, confirm the black and white ground connections are solid, and confirm Button 3 works.
- Valve not switching: Confirm the TeeJet wiring color match; confirm Button 1 operation.
- Remote not responding: Replace the remote battery; re-pair only if we instruct you to.
Do not open the control box to troubleshoot — contact the dealer you purchased from for technical or warranty support.
